A horizontal accumulator is a machine that stores material and allows a production line to run continuously during coil changes and welding. They are often used in pickling and galvanizing production lines.

Accumulators store material to allow the production line to run while the bobbin changes. 

Uninterrupted operation:

Accumulators allow the production line to run without interruption between coils. 

Match Mode:

When the accumulator is full before the coil runs out, the machine enters mill match mode, where the entry and exit run at the same speed. 

Space:

Horizontal accumulators don't require a high ceiling, but they do take up a large area.

Take-up and payoffs are machines used to supply and re-spool material in manufacturing, inspection, and other processes.
